Gardening Activity at the Children’s Awareness Carnival

AIMRx members present: Jenny Pham and Tiffany Riley

At this year’s annual Children’s Carnival, hosted by the CAC, 5th grade students from elementary schools in the Stockton area came to the pharmacy campus for a day full of fun and learning. During the morning portion the students participated in inside activities and demonstrations then headed outside for the afternoon carnival. At the AIMRx booth, students were able to learn about the benefits and uses of various herbs.  Then they were able to plant their very own basil seeds and to take home. This activity aimed to teach students about the importance of caring for plants and learn more about herbs and gardening. It was a blast spending time with these enthusiastic students!
